Lighthouse on a Windy Day

Located on Lake Michigan on the end of the south breakwater, at the entrance to the Pike River, in Kenosha, Wisconsin. A typical “Lake Michigan red tower”, built 1906, the red conical steel 50-foot tower is constructed of riveted steel plates, and has helical bars on the lantern panels. The light replaced another pier light that had been built in 1864.
